Schedule of Events

“Let the Games Begin!” “Aloha E Nā Hoa Pōpeku Wāwae O Ke Ao Nei” (Welcome To Our Soccer Friends of the World)! “E Komo Mai”, join us on the island of Oahu, Hawai’i for the fun and excitement of the 2019 AYSO National Games. The National Games is a week-long festival of activities and soccer competition, where everyone will make new friends and have lots of fun in the sun.

The Games will be played at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Park in Waipahu, Hawaii which will have twenty-seven (27) soccer fields, including a Stadium field for VIP activities and Championship game viewing. This amazing event comes around every other year, so don’t miss out! Here’s the schedule of events for the week:

Sunday (June 30, 2019) – Waipio Peninsula Soccer Park

Coach/Referee Check-In (2:00 – 5:00 pm): At check-in, the coach/referee will pick-up everything they will need for the Games (i.e., coach ID badge, player cards, referee badge, goodie bags, etc.). Players are NOT required to be present at coach check-in.

Monday (July 1, 2019) – Waipio Peninsula Soccer Park

Coach/Referee Check-In (12:00 – 4:00 pm): Last chance to check-in prior to the start of Soccerfest.

“AYSO Day at Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii” (10:30 am – 3:00 pm): – Wet ’n’ Wild Hawaii is located in Kapolei, about 20 minutes away from the soccer park, and features more than 25 exhilarating attractions.

Mandatory Coach/Referee Meeting (4:00 pm): This mandatory meeting will be held at the soccer park and will provide information to all coaches and referees on how to have a successful National Games. We will review important roles, procedures, safety and more!

Opening Ceremonies/Parade of Teams (5:30 pm): This Olympic style event will take place at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Park Stadium Field and will include a parade of teams, National and Local dignitaries, Hawaiian entertainment and much more.

Tuesday (July 2, 2019) – Waipio Peninsula Soccer Park

Soccerfest (All-Day): Players will be divided into random teams based on age and gender. For older age groups (16U, 19U), teams may be co-ed, depending on number of available players. At Soccerfest, there’s no pressure for winning or losing – the only goal is to have fun and meet new friends from across the country.

Wednesday-Friday (July 3-5, 2019) – Waipio Peninsula Soccer Park

Pool-Play: Each team plays games within their pool. Teams that lead their pool will advance to single elimination playoff games that begin Saturday afternoon and may extend to Sunday.

Saturday (July 6, 2019) – Waipio Peninsula Soccer Park

Playoff: Teams that lead their pools will advance to quarter-final matches. Winners of each quarter-final match will advance to the Championship Bracket semi-final round, while runner-ups will move to the Consolation Bracket semi-final round. Semi-final round matches will be an elimination round where only the winners will advance to the finals for the Championship and Consolation Brackets.

Sunday (July 7, 2019) – Waipio Peninsula Soccer Park

Championship/Consolation Bracket Final Games and Award Ceremony: Final games for both the Championship and Consolation Brackets will determine the first and second place team in each age group and gender.
